We took on the challenge of reviving a chimney made of soft reclaimed bricks that had been improperly capped off. Despite housing a gas fireplace, the chimney had numerous holes, causing gas to vent out dangerously.

Our team rebuilt sections of the chimney using a mix of reclaimed bricks sourced from sections of the chimney and new bricks, sourced from local suppliers. The crown was cracked and lacked proper overhang, leading to water penetration and extensive damage. We poured a new crown with a proper 1-inch overhang, ensuring proper water runoff and protection.

To seal the deal, we applied a water-based sealant. This product not only bridges hairline cracks but also blends seamlessly with the masonry's natural look. It goes on like water, and dries like water, allowing the masonry to breathe. Plus, in case water sneaks in, our sealant helps the masonry push it right back out.
